No more testing!!!!!!!!!!

Today was the last day of testing! Yay! And tomorrow we have a field trip. At least it will be better than just testing some more! And on Friday too! Tomorrow we are going to Torrey Pines. We are going to take a hike around the grounds from 9-11 and then have lunch on the beach. On Monday we are going to have another field trip to the Cabrillo National Monument and the Tidepools. I'll tell you all about Torrey Pines tomorrow!

testing 1 2 3... testing....

Can't believe I didn't say I had CSTs ALL WEEK! Except Friday... 4th Graders have a field trip to Torrey Pines... boring! We're just gonna hike around, that's all. UGH!!!!!!!!! I have ballet today too, but I'm WAY TOO TIRED... my brain from answering 40 questions, YES that was 4-0, not 4 (and that's goin' on 4 DAYS!!), my body from playing Capture the Flag for an hour, running, sprinting, math, language arts, english, similes, personification, isosceles, capacity, weight.... !@#$%&*!!!!!! UGH!!! I hope testing ends early for some CRAZY, WIERD reason.... Like the swine flu. That's ALL that's on the news these days, I SWEAR!!! In the newspaper, on the Fox 5 News this morning... even on Google! I searched something on government officials on 1 of the school's computers for a school project, and EVERY SINGLE RESULT was Swine flu this, Swine flu that....
Anyway. I'm tired. Bye! :)

Whew!

I just finished one of the best books ever, while munching on cookies. Guess what book it is. You get 3 clues.
1. It's by Roald Dahl.
2. It's about a girl named Sophie.
3. One of the main character's initials is B.
Do you know what it is?
It's The BFG!
I love the ending on the very last page, it's so... cute.
"But where, might you ask, is this book the BFG wrote?
"It's right here, you've just finished reading it."
And I just HAD to giggle when that part about "whizzpopping" came up... so funny! I like how the BFG talks, too- it's funny. Like when he says,
"... faster than you can say rack jobinson.", "... no more pokery-jiggery.", and "Keep your skirt on! I think I have the answer to the maiden's hair!" But those are only some. The best one is, "Two rights don't make a left!" (2 wrongs don't make a right)
I love some of his words. Here are some of them- phizzwizard, ringbeller, whoppsy, bellypoppers (helicopters), exuncly (exactly), porteedo (torpeedo), slushbungle, swizzfiggling, natterboxes, chatbags, and cattlepiddlers.
How many of you guys read The BFG?
What was one (or all) of your favorite parts?
For those of you looking for a good book, I highly reccomend The BFG.
Well that's it for today, folks! See ya tomorrow!

The answer to the last riddle is: I am a soul (soul music). I just can't get enough riddles!!! What about you guys?
I was daydreaming today, and I was thinking of things every class room in the district should have more than just enough... it should have...
- An indoor pool (cuz it was SOOOOO hot today!)
- Waterproof textbooks, worksheets, and pencils to do work in the pool
-Air conditioning
-A laptop for everyone
-A table with money you can take for lunch/pizza if you don't want to buy lunch (yum...)
-A dance floor
-A snack table with snacks such as skittles, crackers, & cookies
-Access to any website you want (no sites prohibited)
AND last but not least,
-A magic book bin for each student- you write down the name of a book/series you want to read and it automatically appears with no charges to ANYONE!
Next riddle- I come in different shapes and sizes. Part of me is curvy, my other part is straight. You can put me anywhere, anyway you want but I only have 1 place just right for me. What am I?

Yesterday

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was at my friend's house. We had so much fun! We did our nails (mine being black), jumped on her HUMONGO trampoline, played on the computer, and played hide and seek with her mom and brother. Her mom was talking on the phone when we asked her to play hide and seek with us. She didn't find us for a long time, because we hid in her closet, behind a bunch of long dresses against the wall. Speaking of phones, can you read what this says, in IM-ese?

Jog-A-Thon

Today was the Jog-A-Thon! It was sooooooo tiring. The track was so big, I only could run 13 laps in forty five minutes! And last year, I ran like 27, and I was on the same track. That's crazy!!!!! Well, maybe they could have made the track a little bit bigger, but anyway... At least we were ALLOWED to rest and ALLOWED to walk the track. Maybe that's why I didn't run as many this year as last year, I walked the track most of the time. At least the room parents brought in water bottles for the whole class. I was so tired, I asked my friend to pour water on my head 3 TIMES!!!!!!! I am so glad we got Jamba Juice and Popsicles after we ran!! Here's a riddle for ya: Chloe and her older sister reached the top of Mount Washburn. Use the clues to figure out the missing altitude.
1- Begin with 4,582.
2- Add the number of feet in a mile.
3- Add the number of days in a regular year.
4- Add the number of eggs you get in a typical carton.
5- Add the number of leaves on a lucky clover.
Please comment your answers! I will post the answer in 3 days. You have 3 days to comment and answer.

Hint- The number of feet in a mile is 5,280. If you didn't know.
